Dr. David Hundt is an Associate Professor of International Relations at Deakin University, Melbourne. He is a political scientist by training, and his main areas of interest are the international relations and political economy of East Asia. Most of his research touches on Korea in one way or another: currently he is am doing a study about the possibility of reform in North Korea, and another about how the Candlelight Protests in 2016/17 affected ideas about democracy and nationalism in South Korea. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Asian Studies Review, a multidisciplinary area-studies journal
