Former British Ambassador in Seoul
Martin Uden is the Chairman of British Korean Society. He first travelled to Korea as a diplomat in 1978 to work in the British Embassy. He subsequently became the UK Ambassador to Korea (2008-11). While on leave from the Foreign Office, he worked for the UN in New York as Coordinator of the Panel of Experts on sanctions against the DPRK. While Ambassador in Seoul, he travelled to North Korea keeping in close touch with the British Embassy there.
