Economic and Social Policy Officer of the ITUC
Yorgos Altintzís is the economic and social policy officer of the ITUC. He advocates workers’ interests in international trade and investment negotiation processes, advises on the use of trade instruments to promote labour rights, and promotes industrial and structural transformation policy in the global trade agenda. He is a Member of the EU-Korea Domestic Advisory Group.
Yorgos deals with organising trade unions’ representation in and messaging to global governance processes like the G20, G7, ASEM, and APEC. He is the Coordinator of the Asia-Europe Labour Forum and the Asia-Pacific Labour Network.
